Optometrist for Eye Tests in Sydney CBD Eyecare Plus Wynyard

Deteriorating vision can be caused by: a change in the focussing state of the eyes, impairment of ocular co-ordination, medication induced changes, ocular or systemic disease and from trauma. Any change in vision requires a prompt eye test & assessment.

At EyecarePlus – Wynyard, our Optometrist, Mr Chris Burgess, is available to provide attention to your eye-care concerns. Ring and make an appointment to meet our optometrist in Sydney CBD on 9251-1802. Urgent cases will be seen same day. If your visual problem is of a serious medical nature, the Optometrist will arrange for you to be seen immediately by specialist medical practitioners at either The Sydney Eye Hospital or by a local Medical Eye Specialist in Sydney CBD. Changes in your vision due to medication (you may be taking) will be managed in consultation with your General Practitioner. On the other hand, changes in vision due to focussing and ocular co-ordination problems are best managed by an Optometrist and we are happy to advise you in these matters.

Eye tests at our practice is comprehensive and usually takes between 30 and 40 minutes. A detailed history of your symptoms is taken and depending on your visual problem, a range of eye tests will be performed. An explanation of your results will conclude the eye test.

As part of our examination procedure some of the services we provide are: diabetic retinal examination, glaucoma testing, indirect ophthalmoscopy, tonometry, dilated retinal examination, computerised visual field assessment, colour vision, ocular digital photography, commercial and driving vision assessment and more.

At EyecarePlus - Wynyard we consider the eye test is the platform upon which eye health and comfortable spectacle and contact lens wear is based. Rushed and inaccurate eye examination can have devastating consequences. We refuse to offer "Eye exams - no need to wait". We believe, for eye exams to be done properly, it has to be in a planned and ordered way. That is why we ask you to be considerate and ring or drop by and make an appointment for eye care.

Eye examinations to Australian residents are usually covered by Medicare.
